Impronta caffè, Dorsoduro 3815/3817

 

 

The restaurant from outside is wide and well lit albeit artificially. Inside much use of wood in the counter but with a design very contemporary, even in the arrangement of furniture. When I entered there was movement of people and the service is set up by four people. Immediately, with a gentle vehemence, they ask me if I want a croissant with jam (?): wonder if they are hot, they say yes, but I can get it also cold. They go to pick up the cold brioche in the back of the shop and, objectively, it was fragrant with delicious white soft a cream; the cappuccino, with a milk flavor too strong, it is discreet. The price of € 2.30 is strangely competitive, perhaps because of the proximity to the pastry Tonolo.

Il locale da fuori si presenta ampio e ben illuminato seppur artificialmente.  All’interno molto uso di legno nel bancone ma con un taglio progettuale, anche nella disposizione dell’arredo, decisamente contemporaneo. C’è movimento di gente quando entro e il servizio di quattro persone appare predisposto. Subito, con una gentile irruenza, mi chiedono se voglio una brioche con la marmellata (?): domando se sono calde, mi dicono di sì ma che posso averla anche fredda. Attendo che vadano a prenderla nel retro e la brioche servitami era oggettivamente fragrante con deliziosa crema bianca morbida e un po’ pannosa; il cappuccino, con un sapore di latte troppo accentuato, è comunque discreto. Il prezzo di € 2,30 è stranamente competitivo, forse per la vicinanza alla pasticceria Tonolo.

Of new construction, a little ‘hidden and embedded in the recently renovated Rossini cinema, is very fragmented by material and in the planimetric organization. He would like to evoke the magical world of movie, but it fails, resulting in a mixture of details non-coordinated. The croissants and pastries are few, but well-placed in the abundant trays, testimony of a moderate influx of people. The almond pastry was passable but with a hexose price of € 1.30. The cappuccino is beautifully presented in its high slender cup: good but warm. The service was a bit distracted, perhaps because of the early morning (8.26 !?) when all the lights of the counter were still closed and were gradually switched only after my arrival.

Di nuova realizzazione, un po’ nascosto e inglobato nella recente ristrutturazione del cinema Rossini, è molto frammentato nell’organizzazione planimetrica e nei materiali. Vorrebbe evocare il magico mondo del cinematografo, ma non ci riesce, risultando una mescolanza di particolari non coordinati tra loro. Poche, diradate ma ben disposte in abbondanti vassoi le brioche e le paste; la testimonianza di un afflusso di gente moderato. La frolla alle mandorle era passabile ma con un prezzo decisamente esoso di  € 1,30. Il cappuccino è presentato egregiamente nella sua alta slanciata tazza: buono ma tiepido. Il servizio è stato un po’ distratto, forse perché di prima mattina (8.26 !?) quando tutte le luci del banco erano ancora chiuse e sono state progressivamente accese solo dopo il mio arrivo.
